The Rise of a Visionary Coming Soon!
Here are the answers to all the questions circulating around the release!
Welcome back to all my subscribers and hello to all my new ones. Thanks for joining! I have been confronted with a large amount of questions about my upcoming debut novel! Which is amazing! Thank you so much for all your excitement! We’re just shy of 3 weeks away from my “soft launch”, as I am calling it. Which, no, its not typical. I wanted to have my closest friends and followers read the book first and have the very unique opportunity to receive special physical copies. So let’s dive into those questions you have circulating in your brain.
Frequently Asked Questions & the answers!
What’s the genre? What’s it about?
The Rise of a Visionary is an Adult Romantic Urban Fantasy. Though it is not the typical type, elements of magic and epic tales of tormented gods are at play, but it is also full of Goonies or Outer Banks inspired adventure and mystery. There are also the thrills of city life like night clubs and fast cars, dynamics with intense relationships (romantic and otherwise) all mixed in to make it a real page turner.
This book follows the life of Arabella and her two best friends who all suffer under the rule of a heavy patriarchal society, but have been left to question their histories when the stories don’t exactly line up. Arabella also faces a duo of brothers that have done nothing but make her ambitions more confusing, and have set her off on a chase to find the truth and a way out of her arranged marriage.
Readers who are 18+ are my main audience, of any gender identity. I have morally gray characters of both main genders and a sprinkle of gender fluid side characters. The official blurb for the book is linked right below!
When is the release?
Book One of the Lost Isles Collection: The Rise of a Visionary starts release October 1st! I will be launching the novel in chapter chunks, right here on Substack! So don’t forget to subscribe! The first 3 chapters (Prologue-Chapter 2) will be free to all readers.
How much will access cost after the first chapters?
After the first few chapters are released make sure to choose a subscription option to access the following weeks reads. There are multiple options for all budgets. Monthly ($10), yearly ($35), or a founding subscription ($65).
What’s the difference between yearly subscriptions and founding? Basically, what am I paying for?
All subscriptions help fund the cost associated with self-publishing. You are not only paying to consume my works, but also help support the fees associated with me creating this first book, as well as the following ones in the series. Subscribing gives you access to the novel before it hits the market! All Founding Subscribers will receive a signed hardcover copy of the book that will be available for only a limited time and until supplies last.
What if I just want to buy the book?
I’d love that! But you’ll have to wait until it’s released in a few months for everyone to read. I want to assure all my followers that my website is optional. You can support if you can afford to or you can wait to purchase the book when it’s mass produced for sale and available on the major book selling sites/stores. Note that I will only be selling books in paperback and ebook format at that time.
How can I support after I have already subscribed and read the book?
Share my pages (Tiktok & Instagram), and click the share button below to send my site to all your friends and family! My content and books aren’t for everyone, and I understand that. I will be posting the content warning for the novel ahead of the chapters. Please share and encourage readers who you know are a part of the growing community that do love books with deep messages and dark tales.
Aren’t you afraid for your family to read your book?
Honestly, yes and no. I am ecstatic that anyone would want to read my work, but I know that some themes and subjects will be triggering or inappropriate in some eyes. I have always been an honest and upfront person, and my writing is a testament to that. I write authentic adult experiences that are made up from my multiple life experiences. Many characters have traits inspired by all the people I have met in life but that’s what makes them unique and fictional. Let me say that again for my family, FICTIONAL. All jokes aside, I’m thrilled for you to read my character’s tale, I hope you love and hate them as much as I do.
